And here comes our vegan Obatzda recipe we created at our last brunch. Some would like to think that it tastes like sausage spread. To or fro it tastes really good and is a hit at every brunch.
Ingredients:
200 g tofu, we have used smoked tofu 120 g Alsan (vegan butter) 80 g cashew nuts, best soaked overnight 2 tablespoons Herbaria "Obazd Is" spice mixture or paprika powder, caraway, parsley... 1/2 -1 teaspoon salt pinch of pepper Spring onions or chives (optional) Preparation: Dice the tofu and puree into a cream together with the Alsan, spice mixture, salt and pepper. Add the soaked cashews and puree again. Season to taste, garnish with spring onions and serve. The best accompaniment is fresh bread or a classic crispy pretzel.
