The Healthy Easter Nest - Recipes and Tips for Easter

After the Lent it's time again: Easter eggs and chocolate rabbits await you
en masse in the supermarkets.
So we've come up with some ideas for healthy alternatives for you.
Absolutely delicious, & just epi(c).

INGREDIENTS
1 cup dried apricots
1/2 cup grated coconut
1/2 cup oat flakes
4 strawberries
Cashews, hacked
1 tbsp cranberry powder
Topping:
1 tbsp cranberry powder
1 tablespoon grated coconut
PREPARATION:
  1. Cut the dried apricots into small pieces.
  2. Wash strawberries thoroughly and cut into small pieces.
  3. Knead all ingredients together and form small balls. 
  4. Roll through the mixed topping ingredients.
  5. The balls are kept in the fridge for about 3-4 days. If you want to keep them longer, you can freeze them. so keep about 2-3 months.

Chocolate eggs must be? But of course. And that's why we chose a great dark chocolate and chocolated fruits. We liked the grapes best, because they remind us of small chocolate eggs. With a second chocolate we provided variety.

By the way, coloring Easter eggs is also possible without chemical colors. With natural food we don't even need to buy paints, but have them as well as at home.
INGREDIENTS:
yellow eggs - turmeric 1 tablespoon + 1,5 l water
green eggs - 1 pkg spinach + 1,5 l water
pink eggs - 1/2 l beetroot juice + 1 l water
other:
Apple vinegar

PREPARATION:
  1. Bring the ingredients for the selected colour to the boil in a saucepan. 
  2. Clean the eggs with a cake cloth and some cider vinegar to keep the colour on the egg.
  3. Cook the eggs in coloured water for 10 minutes. 
  4. After the cooking time, drain on a kitchen towel and let dry.
  5. For the marbled egg that we made above, you can easily break the shell of the egg after 10 minutes cooking time in different places, so the water can run in and create a color inside the egg Just leave it in the water for another 5 minutes.

Amaranth-Chocolate-Taler
​Decorating chocolate taler is child's play. Simply spread melted chocolate in the form of points on baking paper and garnish with any dried fruit, cereals or superfoods. We have opted for pop amaranth and raspberry chocolate. The talers are also a great souvenir!

INGREDIENTS
truffled & spicy chickpeas:
2 tbsp truffle oil
1 tin chick peas 
1/2 tsp Harissa
1 pinch salt

cinnamon coconut sugar chickpeas:
1 tin of chickpeas
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tsp coconut blossom sugar
1 tbsp rapeseed oil
PREPARATION
  1. Mix the ingredients for the variety of your choice and bake on a baking tray lined with baking paper for about 20 minutes at 200 degrees (fan-assisted)
  2. Take out and drain on a kitchen towel and leave to cool. 
  3. Either put into a jar or fill into a small paper bag.
