INGREDIENTS: 1 smoked tofu 50 g dried tomatoes in oil 3 tablespoons of olive oil (alternative: use the oil in which the dried tomatoes are pickled) 1 tsp thyme 1 teaspoon basil 1 garlic clove some oat milk for a creamier consistency salt & pepper
PREPARATION: Blend all ingredients in a heavy duty blender or use a hand blender to make a creamy dip.
HEALTH BENEFITS: Tofu contains calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, folic acid and a number of vitamins. Its high protein content makes it one of the most important protein sources in the vegan diet SUSTAINABILITY: For the cultivation of soybeans, especially in South America, huge areas of rainforest are cut down, so products with soybeans from Europe are recommended. The best thing to do is to use soy products from organic farming, as the use of genetically modified ingredients is not permitted.
