Making "Sock Baby"

What you need for that?
  • 1 old sock
  • 1 handful of cotton wool for stuffing (if necessary cotton wool or old socks)
  • 1 old button
  • 1 Edding or black felt pen
  • 1 needle
  • 1 thread

INSTRUCTIONS
Stuff an old sock with some cotton wool. Take some thread and mark the baby's tummy by knotting the lower filled parts of the sock with a thread. Now stuff some cotton wool into the sock again, a little less than before, because this will be the baby's head. Tie the sock with a thread again. With needle and thread sew a button on the sock head, this is the baby's "pacifier". Paint the eyes with a black felt-tip pen & your sock baby is ready!

Painting Easter eggs

Admittedly it is a bit early for that, but now is just enough time for it!
By the way, there are great ways to paint eggs in a natural way, click here for the blog post.

Baking

Simple recipes make even the smallest fun! We have a lot of Kids recipes on our blog. But also pizza topping and the "Kid's Easy Cup Kitchen" are a lot of fun.
How about our raspberry breakfast muffins? Of course you can also use other frozen fruits like blueberries.

paint pictures

Simple, but it's just always fun. If it is too boring for you, try Mandalas or new techniques (just google painting techniques, there are some).
If you have been outside before you could paint collected stones as little monsters.

Writing letters to grandma & grandpa

A follower told us she writes and paints letters and postcards for grandma and grandpa with her children. This way the contact remains even during this time and grandma and grandpa are happy about some memories.

Making masks

You still have some glitter stickers and feathers from the carnival period? Wonderful, then how about making masks? Whoever makes the prettier one wins :)

Sew clothes for cuddly toys

Maybe next level, but worth a try. And even if it "only" becomes a Batman cape for the cuddly dog.

"Build a house"

With old cardboard you can make houses for the cuddly toys as well as small houses for children. You can paint them great! Already made? Why don't you build a "television" and every family member can play TV presenter. If you have finger puppets or hand puppets at home, wonderful, then it can become a theatre stage!

"Balloon Tennis"

You still have two paper plates left from the last kid's birthday party? Perfect, because now you can glue 2 spoons there with a tape, so that you have two "rackets". Inflate a balloon and the game can begin!

"Toilet-roll beast"

We should all have enough toilet rolls now, haha! The paper rolls are great for painting and building a real little zoo with them.

"Mission Impossible"

Speaking of duct tape. How about gluing a course around the apartment From one wall to the next like the light barriers in a museum. Whoever touched the tape lost and whoever sneaked through from the beginning of the apartment without touching it won.

"KOSMOS Boxing" - learning through play

From "growing crystals" to "making light chains", "making bracelets" and even an "experimental box garden pirates" are available. This is not supposed to be an advertisement for the brand, but I think the ideas are great and I can still remember how much fun it was for me to create new things on my own. (On bücher.de I found the best selection of KOSMOS so far. Personal recommendation - advertising, because named)

make salt dough animals

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups of flour
2 cups of salt
20 tablespoons of water

Knead everything and let it rest for 20 minutes. Knead again well and you can start forming! You can also dye salt dough, e.g. with cocoa, so you get brown salt dough. With curry or turmeric you mix yellow dough, with paprika red dough. Your handmade animals or moulds will harden in the air within a few days.

Make origami folding animals

Easy Origami folding techniques impress even small children and train their eyes as well as their mind. How about a bunny, dog or frog? Instructions can be found on Pinterest.

make your own book

Bored with your own books? How about making up a story? Take a few pages of paper and pencils and you are ready to make your little book.

ACTIVITIES

Build "course"

On the couch, on the chair and through the sea of cushions. How about a parlor tour? Disorder guaranteed, but also a lot of fun and a long occupation! (PS: Such a course makes us adults fitter too ;)!

Spring cleaning

Here you can't expect a clean apartment afterwards, but the little ones enjoy swinging the broom or prancing around the apartment with rags on their feet. With the right music the whole thing is much more fun!

Hula hoop & skipping rope

Classic and you don't even need much space in your apartment.
By the way, Twister is just as ingenious ;)

Read

A classic that nevertheless often gets a raw deal. You've finished all your books? Then put a box together and swap it with another kid! The communication via internet should be smooth, so that the exchange via mail should work well.

Listening to music & dancing
or sometimes radio plays like Bibi&Tina or Leo Mausemaus (also available for free via Spotify)
