Preheat the oven to 160°C (fan-assisted).
Cut the apricots into small pieces and coarsely chop the walnuts.
Put all ingredients except honey in a bowl and mix well.
Spread the mixture evenly on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in the oven for 12 minutes.
Then stir the granola with a spoon, spread the honey over it and bake for another 5 minutes.
Remove the baked granola from the oven, mix again and leave to cool. The cooled granola can be perfectly combined with yoghurt, quark or milk, honey and fresh fruit.
Walnuts are healthy despite plenty of fat
This means they contain more omega 3 than salmon, for example, which also contains many healthy fatty acids. Walnuts also contain the important polyunsaturated linoleic acid. Walnuts also provide potassium, magnesium, zinc, iron and calcium.
