Finally a shop where this sentence (almost) works. The trend Poke Bowl creeps slowly to Munich. While we all know the famous "Bowls" in all variants, there are now the Hawaiian alternative to the healthy bowl: POKE BOWL It is pronounced Pok-äi and has nothing to do with the Japanese cartoon series Pokémon. We had a look at the small shop in the Türkenstraße and are thrilled. You can put together your Poke Bowl as you like. What's surprising is that every station wagon actually tastes good (at least the nice man behind the counter says so). So we tried two colourful variations and he's right, it tastes fantastic. It's also interesting that the fish comes from a sustainable fishing culture (caught with a rod) and that there is a Sustainability certificate hangs (no false modesty people, we like!). This board explains how it works: BASE (wild rice, rice, salad) PROTEIN (salmon, tuna, smoked tofu from Taifun, shrimps) TOPPING (spring onions, mini tomatoes, edamame, mango, pineapple etc,) SAUCE (creative variation of dressings, white peach wasabi is awesome) HAPPY END (nuts, seeds or other superfoods like goji berries or chia seeds) Our choice: wild rice/salad/salmon/tuna/octopus/tomato/edamame/ginger/sesame/avocado/goji/seaweed with peach wasabi dressing So if you're looking for a great lunch place, check it out.
