Oh, yeah, and you can tell! Potsdam is a beautiful city and leaves many possibilities for wonderful walks open.
If you are too lazy to run, you can of course rent a bike to explore the city.
The castle Sanssouci is very recommendable.
Funnily enough, I discovered this by pure chance, because I wrote 2 exams at the University of Potsdam and thus enjoyed the beautiful view. (Random Fact: By the way, I did not pass the two exams at my attempt at that time. :D)

The city also has a small Brandenburg Gate. From there a small "shopping mile" starts.
At summer time you will find a delicious ice cream parlour called Eismanufaktur Potsdam at the beginning of the "mile".
I've been a regular there for 6 years now. My record is 8 balls, but for my defense: The chocolate sorbet is simply heavenly and the selection of sorbets at all, also very good.
