Breakfast with attention to detail
The name "bAsTaRd" probably deterred first of all. I thought the same thing.
Arrived at the first time, it was a Sunday after a long night, it was 16:30 o'clock. Of course, a perfectly prepared breakfast was served, so that the water already melted in your mouth when you walk past.
The end of the story:
bAsTaRd is a restaurant that is geared towards breakfast and lunch, so unfortunately we had to find out that exactly at 16:30 o'clock the kitchen closes.
At this point it should be mentioned that Tuesdays are even a complete rest day.
But of course I didn't let myself get lumpen and planned a weekend brunch with friends there.
Around Friedrichshain there are a lot of restaurants, cafés & bars.
Some are hardly noticeable and others really stand out.
So is the Chum & Friends .
The menu is decorated with a lot of love and a relaxo on it.
Heeeeeeelllooooooo... Pokémon GO sends his regards ✌︎☺︎
But not only the Pokémon fans get their money's worth with the card.
According to our taste, Chum & Friends is Asian fusion cuisine.
Not only that was our huge, shining arrow, which drew our attention to the restaurant, but also the furnishings.
Visually, the restaurant is quite something.
A lot of attention was paid to details. You can even sit on the floor on one side of the restaurant to eat.
On the one hand the atmosphere is reminiscent of London's Industrial Chic and on the other hand of a Streetfood-Saigon-Kitchen. Modern, chic & yet cosy.
But now to the important part:
Summer in Berlin - lots of sun, lots of love, lots of joy & lots of good food
As you can see meanwhile the Prussia Park aka. "Thai Park" is no longer an insider tip.
On Sundays all those who fancy Asian street food are romping around, from young to old.
We are not talking about hipster-.streetfood, which has a well thought-out new concept, but about traditional streetfood, which is prepared in the middle of Prussia Park with temporary "picnic kitchens".
One INDO-MEXI-CAL-ITAL-kitchen please!
What is that?
Tacos, Naan Pizza, Soups, Guacamole, Salsa Verde and more. For 20€ there is a Taster's plate, which is absolutely recommendable.
The very best, however, is the wheatgrass apple juice, because the wheatgrass is freshly pressed and finally tastes delicious in the combination!
There are vegetarian, vegan and fish and salmon dishes that taste heavenly.
Unfortunately the Naan and the tacos are made of wheat flour, but this shop is definitely worth a "sin". Everything else is made of fresh products and excitingly fresh flavours.
The snack bar is not big, in summer there is a terrace, but you can't make a reservation in summer when the weather is good.
By the way, this shop is the reason why I, Alex, moved to Berlin. It combines well-known with new and really successful and at adequate prices.
