Japanese, wicked, delicious!
In Paris there is the so-called Japanese Street. Here you can find one Ramen or Udon Bar after the other. Unfortunately, all of them contain gluten, which is why we were looking for a suitable dinner spot there for a long time.
When we found what we were looking for via the Foursquare App, we really stood in front of the Kunitoraya 5 minutes after the store opened. Nevertheless, the shop was full to the brim & we had to wait 20 minutes until we got a place. After one already gets a view into the kitchen from the outside, we knew that we wanted to eat there absolutely.
We were not disappointed at all.
You either sit so that you can look out of the window or at a long table with other guests, which we didn't find disturbing at all.
The waitresses were very nice and quick.
The food reads really well, so we knew that we had to get involved in a completely new world in terms of taste.
We decided for Japanese beer and Onigiri. Additionally we decided for different "tapas".
A rice bowl with salmon (very tasty), fermented soybeans with raw egg (very crazy), a Daikon salad (normally I don't like radishes, but the salad was tasty), Smoked Eggplant (it tasted very smoky, but if you get into it, it was very cool to eat).
For all those who want to taste something completely different, we can highly recommend this restaurant. Make sure you order an Onigiri - but you have to ask for one separately, because it's not on the evening menu. We were lucky to be able to try the last one, after that it was sold out, because they usually only offer it at lunchtime.
